Support
1. Contact us
Email support@livecaptions.app for anything — bug reports, billing questions, refunds, or feature requests. Support is provided in English, 正體中文, and 简体中文. We read every message and normally reply within a couple of business days.
2. Reporting a problem
Including these details helps us fix things faster:
- Your operating system and version (for example, macOS 15.2 or Windows 11 23H2)
- The LiveCaptions version, shown at the bottom of the Settings window
- Which capture source you selected: entire system, a single app, or microphone
- The source and target languages you were translating between
- Roughly when it happened, and what you saw on screen
3. System requirements
macOS 14.2 or later on an Apple silicon Mac (M1 or newer), or Windows 10 build 19041 (version 2004) or later. Windows 11 is fully supported. Intel Macs are not supported.
On macOS, capturing system audio requires the System Audio Recording permission, which macOS asks for the first time you start translating. Without it the capture succeeds but stays silent, so LiveCaptions will prompt you if it detects continuous silence.
4. Your subscription
Open the Settings window in the app to see your remaining hours, change plans, or start a free trial. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Paddle.com as our merchant of record; your receipts come from Paddle, and you can manage your payment method from the link in any receipt email. To cancel, use the same Paddle link — your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
5. Refunds
See our Refund Policy for the 14-day EU/UK right of withdrawal and our fair-use refund window, or email us with your Paddle transaction ID (it starts with "txn_").
6. Account deletion
Email support@livecaptions.app from your account email address with the subject "Delete my account". We will delete your authentication account and associated data within 30 days. See the Privacy Policy for what is retained and why.
7. Common questions
The FAQ on our home page covers how the free trial works, which languages are supported, whether your audio is recorded or stored, what happens when your monthly hours run out, how to cancel, and whether LiveCaptions works with Zoom, YouTube, or Netflix.
