Switch plans anytime in the app — upgrades take effect immediately: the charge and the added hours for the current period are both prorated by the time remaining, and your full new allowance starts next period. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period; the current period is unchanged and nothing is charged or refunded. Cancel anytime; takes effect at the end of the billing period. Prices may include or exclude tax depending on your region. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, which acts as merchant of record.

How does the free trial work?
Every account gets one free trial: 20 minutes of live captioning to use within 14 days, no credit card required. When it runs out, subscribe to keep going.
Which languages are supported?
60 target languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and Vietnamese.
Is my audio recorded or stored?
Audio is streamed in real time to our speech recognition service provider to produce captions, and we do not store your audio. See the Privacy Policy for details.
What happens when I've used my monthly hours?
Captioning pauses until your next billing period, when your hours reset. You can also upgrade to a bigger plan anytime in the app — the higher limit applies immediately with a prorated charge.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the billing portal from the app's settings and cancel there. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Can I get a refund?
See our Refund Policy. If you are in the EU or UK, you have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal.
Does it work with Zoom, YouTube, or Netflix?
LiveCaptions captions the audio your computer plays, so it works with any app or website that makes sound — video calls, streaming, lectures, and podcasts alike. That includes desktop apps, not just browser tabs, and the source never has to cooperate: a meeting needs no captions turned on, a stream needs no captions of its own.
Will captions show over a full-screen game?
Run the game windowed or in borderless full-screen and captions float above it as usual. Exclusive full-screen mode on Windows takes over the display entirely, so no overlay — ours or anyone else's — can appear on top of it.
What are the system requirements?
macOS 14.2 or later on an Apple silicon Mac (M1 or newer), or Windows 10 (build 19041 / version 2004) or later. Windows 11 is fully supported. Intel Macs are not supported.
